Happy Birthday Mackenzie

Mackenzie is 2-years old today! Can you believe it? My baby girl is growing up so fast; and I must say that she is a precious little girl.

2 years ago in the wee hours of the morning (12:01am) I went into labor. My hubby didn't believe I was in labor, but 3 hours and 50 minutes later we were holding Mackenzie in our arms. I guess it was labor, and an amazing birth assisted by Cathy, Connie and Amanda along with my Mom and friend Kelly (full house). Now here we are getting ready to celebrate another year of life. Thank you Lord for your precious gifts!

Mackenzie updates:
1. Still in LOVE with the Karate Kid
2. Still learning and using sign language
3. Very girlie, loves dresses
4. Loves to play with our dog and play outside
5. Very tall
6. Typical woman; must get her 10-15 thousand words in per day
7. Becoming a Daddy's girl (so cute)
8. Becoming more adventurous

Staph Infection

Many of you have seen my hand getting so much better once it was diagnosed as a staph infection and I started treatment. Actually, it was so much better that if you were not looking for where the infection had been you probably would not notice that anything had been wrong. It was REALLY bad on my hand, and just slight on my face.

Well, guess what? 24 hours after I completed my treatment I woke up last night itching all over and my hand felt funny. You guessed it! It is back. My hand is swollen, red and scabbing over and weeping again, and my face and neck are itching like crazy. It was NOT like that yesterday when the family was over. What is going on!?!?!?!

I have a call in to the doctor, so please pray for me! This thing needs to die and be gone and NEVER EVER come back.

Granddad Coming

We have been telling Mackenzie for quite some time that Granddad is coming from England, and now he is here. When he walked in she yelled, "Granddad coming!" And I said, "He's already here." So cute. She loves him and just talked to him non-stop last night.

Also, it was really great because Wayne's sister and our niece Clara came over for dinner. We had a wonderful family time :) Clara is even learning how to use a yo-yo; very cool.
