Coconut Oil

Today's Wisdom Wednesday we will talk about Coconut Oil.  One of the things I truly enjoy about coconut oil is that I can cook with it and achieve a completely different flavor from butter or olive oil.  It is rich and creamy, and does not taste like coconut.  If it did my husband would not eat it, but rather he truly enjoys the richness it adds to a dish.  And although it is a saturated fat, it is a short chain saturated fat that your body can easily break down and use in a healthy way.

Tip:  Add a teaspoon (or tablespoon) to your smoothie or blend into your fresh juice to add a creaminess.  The oil will coat your colon and absorb toxins then allow those toxins to be passed by your body instead of being absorbed by your body!

What is coconut oil good for?  Glad you asked!
