I have so much going on these days that I have simply avoided blogging. It is much easier to simply live my life than it is to write about my life.
I suppose the biggest news in our immediate future is that our house is on the market. Actually, it has been on the market for about 3 weeks now! We have had 3 scheduled showings thus far, but expect it to pick up as we move into the spring season; especially around spring break. The biggest challenges about selling our house are probably not very big in someone elses eyes, and probably are not very big for us either. The first one is submitting to the Will of God. Trying to see His plan for our lives...when will we sell, where will we move, if we end up not selling and staying here, etc., etc., etc. The other challenge is keeping a house clean with two small children. Not so much the clean part, but the tidy and picked up part. Since we are home virtually all the time we eat 3 meals and 2 snacks here which equals about 17 dirty dishes each day. Add to that the dirty diapers (we use cloth diapers) and toys everywhere and you have one busy Momma! Oh, and then you can add the laundry, cleaning, craft projects, dress up, play dates and other fun stuff. Since I only get a 1 hour notice before a showing the house really has to be clean all the time because as any Mom knows, sometimes it takes an hour just to wrestle your kids to the car and get them out of the house :) ~~ OK, so I stopped blogging because I got a call that we have another showing today! Needed to tidy up.~~
In other news, my little, bitty baby girl will be turning 4 in one month!!!!!!! What? When? How? She is growing up on me! 4 Sounds so much bigger and older than 3; face it, it is only one step away from 5. It is really fun watching her grow and explore every day. Sometimes I watch her and wonder how she has learned so much. She has become really independent in some ways, but still needs Mommy and Daddy just a little (whew!).
As for Micah? We are in the middle of 'Operation Sandman'. Huh??? Yes, we are trying to get him to sleep in his crib all night long without needing Mommy to soothe him back to sleep. This has been half success and half fail thus far (we just completed night 4). Why success and fail? Success because he is sleeping in his crib now. Fail because he wants me to come in and soothe him back to sleep every 45 minutes with one long stretch of almost 2 hours. It makes for a really long night because I am trying to teach him to self soothe back to sleep and not to depend on Mommy. If you have tips and pointers I will take them ALL.
There is a lot more to tell you, but I have to wrangle the kiddos and leave so they can show our house. I will try to write again soon.
